using a rapid response in-situ simulation program with 2 simulation scenarios specific to the patient population. As a first step in the DNP project, 2 simulation scenarios were developed and then evaluated by a panel of 4 expert nurse educators using a modified National League of Nursing/Jeffries Simulation Design Scale. The qualitative evaluation simulation was an effective learning strategy to train associate degree nursing (ADN) students to reduce medication errors. Kolb’s Experiential learning theory provided the framework of the study. ADN students applied past knowledge to an adult medical-surgical simulation and made errors when administering medication. The goal of the Simulation Center and Clinical Education Center CEC within the University of Colorado College of Nursing is to create significant learning experiences for students to complement direct patient care. By utilizing the Simulation Learning System SLS students have access to clinical simulation scenarios accompanied dissertation nursing simulation a complete Electronic Health Record EHR and are able to learn and make mistakes without harm to patients, dissertation nursing simulation.
Simulation provides students with the opportunity to gain hands-on practical skills and experiences before they step into a hospital or clinic setting. Complementing direct patient care, simulation includes standardized patients and scenarios, mannequin-based simulations and task trainers that allow repeated practice dissertation nursing simulation a specific skill.
